This food hygiene course is ideal for anyone working in the catering, hospitality or manufacturing industry, including those about to start working in the industry. The course will cover;
- Hazards and controls
- Food safety management and temperature controls
- Food poisoning control
- Personal hygiene
- Cleaning and disinfection
- Food pests
- The role of the food handler in keeping food safe.
There are no subject specific pre-requisites and the qualification is suitable for learners aged 14 years and over. It is recommended that learners have a minimum of level 1 in English and maths, or equivalent.
Course length and cost
It is a one day course with a multiple-choice examination at the end, which will earn learners a certificate at level 2 for food safety in catering. The course costs £61.00 per learner, which includes the exam and the certificate. Further discounts are available if ten or more places are purchased at the same time.
